Safety Lens
iOS app that uses camera to observe a room and detect dangers for a child. Currently in pilot testing, release at AppStore is planned Spring 2025
How it works
Dangers that can be detected
- Following situations could be detected, when camera has proper view of the room and internet connection is stable
- Child putting plastic bag on their head
- Child climbing furniture
- Playing with household chemicals
- Touching electric sockets
- And some more - but not all!
When to use Safety Lens app
As parents of kids with special needs, we know that sometimes kids are left unattended for short period of time, like parent going to bathroom, answering a phone call or accepting delivery etc. We wanted an app that could still "keep an eye" on a child and send alert to parent if something dangerous happens. This solution is not ideal yet. Many situation cannot be detected for various reasons (slow internet, camera covered, child is out of view, or cloud AI doesn't understand danger). You are fully responsible for child's safety! App can detect some dangers, but not all! Also, app cannot stop dangers - only you can!
